Life For A Kid donated £1,000 to the East Riding Electric Eels Powerchair football team. The first team of its kind in this region…the money was used for equipment to get the team set up.
Life For A Kid also bought the Electric Eels their first Kit.
Powerchair football is a 4-a-side game for players of all ages and abilities played with a 13” (33cm) ball. Played from powered wheelchairs, every player is placed on a level playing field regardless of gender, age or stature and provides the first opportunity of this kind to the County. Speaking of the difference the club has made to his son, Manager Andy Fox said:
‘As Charlie’s parents we love seeing him getting involved in sport which helps him feel part of a team. He is very passionate about Powerchair football and it will be fantastic for him to share his experiences with his friends at school and join in their conversations about playing football.’
Life For A Kid also donated £800 towards 8 year old Charlie Fox new power wheel chair, Charlie has cerebral palsy and needs £18,000 for a new wheelchair which will last him until he is an adult…..The fundraising continues.
